Columbian Ground Squirrel
The Columbian Ground Squirrel is a friendly critter found in colonies that is seen in Alpine areas, grasslands and brushy areas. They usually hibernate 7 or 8 months of the year in a special “hibernation” chamber in their burrows that is sealed off from the rest of the burrow.
